"You bring out the child in me."
I remember the person who said these words. So I decided to write a blog about it.
Children are innocent and nonpretentious. They delight in the little things without studying to be sophisticated and controlled. They simply are who they are with no apologies. Refreshingly HONEST and TRANSPARENT. They haven't learned the art of masking their feelings yet, so no guessing games are played. They are not ashamed of their tears and giggle with abandon at the silliest things. They are UNRESERVED with their AFFECTIONS.
FORGIVING. BELIEVING ALL THINGS. FOREVER HOPEFUL. PLAYFUL. They feel rich with simplest pleasures. They are easy to please. UNCOMPLICATED. AMUSING. ENCHANTING. MAGICAL. EXPERIMENTAL. CURIOUS... Open to endless possibilities of life. They dare to dream lofty dreams, never quenching them. And when they give themselves to hug, they revel in it. As a woman, I should keep a healthy portion of these attributes in my life and allow them to flavor the essence of my being.
Why? Because inside of every man is a little boy who still like to play. To tease, to poke, to be mischievous. Who still enjoys a good wrestling match, whether physical or mental. I want to be able to relate to the child within.
